Youths from Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe will be in Lilongwe, Malawi from February 5 to February 16, 2024 to kickstart their journey as part of the first cohort for Southern Africa of the BUILD PHED Leadership Programme.
The training in Lilongwe will cover an in-depth introduction to the population, health, environment and development approach, as well as its value and integration in national and global sustainable development initiatives. The training will also cover systems thinking, strategic communications, policy advocacy, integration of gender and youth, and entrepreneurship.
Building Capacity for Integrated Family Planning (FP) and Reproductive Health (RH) and Population, Environment and Development (PED) Action (BUILD) is a USAID-funded project that is led by the African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP), in partnership with Pan African Climate Justice Alliance, FHI360, Leadership in Environment and Development (LEAD) and Path Foundation, Philippines.
