Imara TV is a Nairobi-based media startup company that creates and aggregates content around sexual and reproductive health. It recruits independent actors and actresses, and gives them the creative license to develop scripts, story lines, character arcs in order to better unpack, present and demystify concepts in the sexual and reproductive health landscape for adolescents. It therefore seeks to serve as an alternative touchpoint for the youth for this kind of information, especially since it’s been well recorded that the youth generally have poor or limited access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health information.
