Joyce Mbiti-Luo
Partnerships and Resource Mobilisation Manager

Joyce Mbiti-Luo leads the partnerships and resource mobilisation portfolio. She is charged with implementing the portfolio’s strategy, including setting up operations and systems to enhance performance and continuous learning, conceptualising projects and coordinating proposal development, and cultivating and nurturing strategic partnerships in Africa and globally to optimise the achievement of the Institute’s vision.  

Joyce has 15 years of experience driving growth in non-profit and private sector organisations through innovative strategic and operational planning and implementation, project and programme management, fundraising and partnership building, capacity strengthening and support, research and monitoring, and evaluation. Previously she served as AFIDEP’s inaugural Partnerships and Resource Mobilisation Officer and Executive Assistant. Before joining AFIDEP, she provided high-level strategic and programmatic support to chief executive officers and directors at the Nairobi Women’s Hospital/Gender Violence Recovery Centre, the International Transport Workers’​ Federation (ITF) and Tarakibu Architects.
