Our People
Mary joins AFIDEP Kenya office as a Grants Accountant. She is to provide support in the management of programme funding through financial proposal development, budgeting, management and monitoring of grants, sub-grants and contracts, and closure of project financial activities, whilst ensuring compliance with donor rules and regulations.
Mary brings over eight years of professional work experience in Business and Project Accounting, Grants and Contract Management, Proposal development, budgeting, financial analysis, procurement and administration in the non-profit sector.
Prior to joining AFIDEP, Mary worked with the African Agricultural Technology Foundation (AATF), the International Potato Center (CIP) and the African Virtual University.
Mary holds a Master of Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Nairobi, Kenya and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Option) from the same university. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a full member of ICPAK (the professional accounting body of Kenya).
In her free time, Mary enjoys spending time in nature and reading classical and self-help books.
