Timothy joins AFIDEP as a Senior Evaluation Expert under The MasterCard Foundation Project and is based in the Malawi Office.

An accomplished Development Economist with expertise in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) frameworks for agriculture, financial development, and climate resilience programs in Sub-Saharan Africa, he holds a PhD in Development Policy from the KDI School of Public Policy and Management in South Korea and a Master’s in Policy Economics from Williams College in the United States.

Before joining AFIDEP, Timothy worked with organizations such as the Korea-Africa Food and Agriculture Cooperation Initiative (KAFACI) in South Korea and Malawi’s Ministry of Agriculture, where he contributed to research, program development, implementation, evaluations, and evidence-based policymaking to promote equitable resource allocation and productivity.

In his free time, Timothy enjoys hiking, watching soccer, playing squash, and reading about development economics and emerging issues. He values social connections, spending time with friends, exploring new places, and engaging in meaningful conversations.”
