Derick Ngaira joins AFIDEP as a Communications Officer to be based in Nairobi office to contribute to the design and implementation of AFIDEP’s policy engagement, branding and communications strategy.

Derick is a communications professional with over five years’ experience in the field. Prior to joining AFIDEP, Derick worked as a Communications Officer with Africa’s Voices Foundation; Communications and Advocacy Assistant at the Institute for Social Accountability and as a Communications Assistant at the State University of New York.

He has considerable experience in the mainstream media having worked as a contributing writer for the Daily Nation, Kenya and News Reporter at Citizen Television, Kenya.

Derick holds a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Media Studies from Moi University, Kenya and is trained in Graphics and Design from Shang Tao Media College in Nairobi.

In his free time, Derick enjoys reading, watching, and spending time with family and friends
