The 10th Annual Conference on Population, Reproductive Health, and Economic Development will take place between September 7th and 9th, 2016 at the International Food Policy Research Institute in Washington, DC. Dr. Grace Kumchulesi, a Knowledge Translation Scientist, will represent AFIDEP at the Conference, which serves as the annual meeting for the Population and Poverty Research Network (PopPov).

The PopPov Network constitutes a group of academic researchers and funders from around the globe interested in how population dynamics affect economic outcomes. The Conference will bring together demographers, development economists, and other experts to address issues at the intersection of population, reproductive health, and economic prosperity.

Dr. Kumchulesi, who is based at AFIDEP’s Malawi office, will be presenting a paper titled: The Role of Family Planning in Harnessing the Demographic Dividend in Malawi. She will also participate in a workshop titled: Communicating Your Research Findings to the Media: Strategies to Engage and Interact with the Media to Share Policy-Relevant Research.
